Hoeksche Waard Assuradeuren and the affiliated insurance broker Den Hartigh Adviesgroep, part of Den Hartigh Beheer & Exploitatie in Puttershoek, have been admitted to the very select group of Lloyd’s Coverholders in London, the world’s largest insurer. With this recognition from Lloyd’s, Den Hartigh wants to move towards a more specialised international portfolio.
Following a process lasting several months, Jan den Hartigh (director), Wim Hazejager (authorised underwriting agent) and Diederik Brussaard (claims manager) of Den Hartigh Adviesgroep in Puttershoek, recently heard that they have been admitted to Lloyd’s. The company and the individuals who receive Underwriting Authority have been the subject of a thorough screening. Jan den Hartigh: “This recognition is very important to us. There are just a handful of insurance companies in the Benelux that are eligible for this because the admission requirements are very strict. As coverholder, we can provide tailor-made services to a rapidly changing insurance industry.” In addition, this recognition presents new opportunities for other intermediaries to join Den Hartigh Serviceproviding as a sub-broker.
